University of Washington researchers spearheading the development of the Empreva technology published their recent work in the journal Antiviral Research. In their article, the authors demonstrate the potential of electrospun nanofibers for vaginal anti-HIV drug delivery. They also discuss advantages of electrospun fibers for vaginal delivery of microbicides and highlight the potential for bringing this technology to market.
